Conference Recap: AAFP Family Medicine Experience 2017 in San Antonio

It was a blast being an exhibitor at one of the most well known Family Medicine trade show events of the year in San Antonio. On the first day while we were heading to our booth we had the pleasure of running into some of our partners from SureScripts and CoverMyMeds! In a couple hours we were all set up and ready for the show.

The show was busy throughout the three days, and we were excited to help people understand more about our EHR and our recent specialization for family medicine practices. Many attendees had grievances about their current EHRs systems, and wanted to know how they could go about making the switch which was fantastic! One doctor was hoping to move away from a competitor EHR because of their 8% fee, and another doctor mentioned how badly she could use drchrono’s mobile EHR to conveniently review the patient chart before walking in the room, or finish up documentation on the way out of the room to her next patient without wasting any time. We love being able to provide our users great packages with these great functionalities!

On Thursday we had our long awaited VIP cocktail party, where we had over 100 attendees come to find out more about our EHR, and hear first hand from an avid drchrono user, Adriana Guerra, how her family medicine practice has benefited from using drchrono’s EHR. The live claims feed gave her team a greater level of transparency from the doctor/owner to the third party biller, without having them being physically present. They also felt that it was fun and easy to work with their billing and account rep, Mursal Sayed for any issues – they really felt at ease with  their account rep and considered her part of the practice due to her level of comfort and knowledge with taking care of their questions. Adriana talked about how much she appreciated using the macros, as well as the ability to be able to edit any of her medical forms instantly from her iPad. She even mentioned that she was able to respond to her patients, review some lab orders, and refill prescriptions while she was attending a talk at this very show! Everybody enjoyed the food and drinks as the conference was coming to a close, and we also had a couple winners from our raffle as well. Thanks again Adriana for being our guest speaker, and everyone else who for attending!

On the last day we were finally able to wind down at the famous Pearl neighborhood, the brewery turned crown jewel of San Antonio full of community, restaurants and shops. Enjoying the music, food, and culture was a great way to end our trip. Thanks San Antonio see you next year!
