New Feature: Medical Billing Features Come to iPhone App

Using Your Phone for Medical Billing

With the newest version of our EHR/EMR application, the iPhone version of the application gains the same billing functionality that was previously available on the iPad application. The functionality of the billing features of the iPhone app operates in the same way the iPad version operates —  optimized for use with a smaller screen. With this addition, a section with two new tabs are added to your visit management page: ICD-10 codes and Billing. The ICD-10 code page allows you to add new diagnoses and refer to existing medical conditions. The billing tab allows you to add medical billing information to your appointment for the purpose of claim submission. Now your billing functionality across the web, iPad, and iPhone will be synced, giving you versatility in your billing workflow.

This update adds iPhone compatibility with many standard features that sync across all drchrono products. The following features are now available:

  • The Billing Picklist
  • Billing Profiles
  • The Patient Problems List
  • Adding, removing, and changing medical billing codes to appointments

To submit charges and/or claim information, you can add a variety of codes to your appointment. The following types of codes can be added:

  • ICD-10 Codes
  • CPT Codes
  • HCPCS Codes
  • Custom procedures
  • Custom inventory items

The billing system for the iPhone edition of the EHR/EMR app is available now for versions of the app 10.0.54 or later. To download the newest version of the app, visit our iTunes page located here.
