New Feature: Automatically Add ICD-10 Codes to Chart Problem List

Managing Your Patients’ Diagnoses Efficiently

With the ‘Auto Set Problems’ feature in the drchrono EHR, you now have the option to type in ICD-10 codes into your appointment and have them automatically added to your patient’s problem list. When paired with the ‘Auto Set Diagnosis’ feature, those codes will be also automatically added to future appointments with the patient. With ‘Auto Set Problems’, keeping track of your patients’ diagnoses is simplified, allowing you to spend less effort managing your EHR.

Test the ‘Auto Set Problems’ feature by scheduling a new appointment, fill out the appointment tab and then select ‘Save’. The billing tab will be open for you to click on. Here, fill out the billing information and type in ICD-10 codes associated with your patients’ diagnoses.

Once finished, select save and navigate to your patient’s chart to observe that those ICD-10 codes used in your previous appointment has now been added. To view your patient’s problems in their chart, search for a patient then select ‘Problem List’ from the left-hand navigation pane.

The ‘Auto Set Problems’ feature is slated to launch Friday, November 11th. You may enable ‘Auto Set Problems’ in your Account Settings within the ‘Miscellaneous’ section in the ‘Billing’ tab. You may also enable ‘Auto Set Diagnosis’ in the same section.
