We have created a test install to connect and the main question is how to use a persistent application token to maintain a persistent connection between out application backend and drchrono clinic tenant, so we don’t need to ask for drchrono’s user password when we want to access and save data.
We have generated a user token that we use now, but I am not sure that this is your preferred method for supporting system integration.
The best way to maintain a persistent connection between an application and a drchrono account is to use the access/refresh tokens provided after the first authentication. The process is described under the “Refreshing an Access Token” section in our tutorial/documentation: https://drchrono.com/api-docs/v2016_06/tutorial#authentication-workflow
