Medical Records Graphing, Scoring & Reports Builder

At drchrono, we are thinking a lot about graphing and graphing tools.

One of our goals is to have a graph, reports and scoring template builder, like our clinical notes template builder.

Having medical professionals building the reports and visual graphs they need in real time to determine the health of their practice and the health of their patients.

One thing we will get out of having a reports builder ins scores to rate your risk of certain disease as a patient. Graphing all the correlated data on a single graph with a unified timeline. This would be very helpful.

For example, some idea data points a physician can use are –

  • Cardiovascular disease
  • Cholesterol (LDL, HDL)
  • Weight
  • BMI
  • Waist Line

There are algorithms to give a score to evaluate your health and there are a lot of scores that can help physicians, medical professionals and patients. Allowing physicians to build out a deck or report cards and scores and such would be very interesting.

Right now our reports are somewhat flat, but the goal over time is to make our reporting tools better and better.

For example of you look at the this graph below you get an idea on how scoring works.

This graph is from the Heart Foundation.

The next step is to create graph templates or what we call it internally at drchrono is a “Graph Patch”.

We will be putting these types of graphs into our labs part of the iPad EHR. With these graphs we can take panels of labs and put them together. E.g. to see red blood cell count & white blood cell count.

Below is a video on the first graphing tool we built out for iPad , which is build out for tapping and you can select different time frames on Vitals –
