Square and DrChrono Team Up to Enable First Physician Square Payment Processing in EHR
Offering accelerated patient payments, improving medical practice cash flow
The DrChrono/Square integration enables medical practices to accept and save a patient’s debit and credit card information directly within the DrChrono EHR and OnPatient patient portal. Patient payments can be collected anytime within the clinic workflow or remotely. From there, funds are deposited quickly to the medical practice account and patient balances are automatically updated.
“DrChrono’s EHR platform has been purposely built to easily and securely integrate with the latest healthcare and practice management technologies for the modern medical practices,” said Daniel Kivatinos, COO and Co-founder of DrChrono. “Integrated payment processing via Square will help accelerate patient payments, reduce the risk of non-payment and improve cash flow for medical practices. We’re very excited about this partnership and the benefits it will bring to our customers.”
“We’re excited that DrChrono has integrated Square into its platform, making it simple for any physician or medical practice to easily take payments via Square,” said Pankaj Bengani, Global Partnerships Lead at Square. “Square’s payments ecosystem provides doctors and other service providers powerful tools to run and grow their practice, and we look forward to working with DrChrono to help reach even more medical professionals.”
How it Works
This integration will allow providers who are existing Square customers to connect their Square accounts to DrChrono and take payments through the Square system while on the DrChrono app. Providers who currently do not have Square now have a new option for taking credit card payments. Providers can link their Square account through their DrChrono account settings prior to taking a payment.
