Mobile Access to a Patient’s Insurance History

Soon, an easy way to access insurance history is coming to your EHR mobile app. While current insurance information has long been available in our EHR mobile app, now you’ll have the option to access a history button that reveals a new page that details a patient’s previous insurance information. This feature allows you to view a patient’s past primary and secondary information, including payer details, plan information, and start/end dates. Additionally, this page also allows you to add new entries to the patient’s insurance history if necessary.

To access insurance history on your app, tap on your patient’s name to reveal the patient menu. Select ‘Patient Information’, then scroll to the insurance section of your patient’s profile. Here tap on the new ‘History’ button to the right of the insurance title bar.  Here, you’ll be able to view a one-stop source of information for a patient’s insurance history.

This feature will be available for all users in tomorrow’s release of version 10.0.61 of the drchrono EHR/EMR mobile application. This feature is available for both iPad and iPhone. To download or update your mobile app, visit our iTunes page here.
