New Feature: Find Schedule Openings with Availability Search
Using Availability Search to Quickly Find Free Times
Availability Search is a new scheduling tool in the drchrono Practice Management suite. Previously with the drchrono Calendar, you could visually search for available appointment times for a given day — with Availability Search you can do the same thing faster and with more options. After the search, Availability Search conveniently gives you the option to easily schedule your appointment right from the search page.
Availability Search allows a user to search across any combination of offices and providers, with the following parameters:
- A search for availabilities within a specific date or week
- On and after a specified time
- Availabilities only within a specific exam room
- Using parameters specified by an appointment profile
After your search, a table with all appointment availabilities that match the specified duration and other alternative availabilities our system believes could also work, including other dates. If you have allowed for overlapping appointments in your scheduler, the availability search will also indicate how many appointments overlap with the time slot. If you see an availability that works for you, go and hit ‘Schedule Appointment’ and the scheduler will pop up with and allow you to schedule the appointment without requiring you to leave the page.
Availability Search will be available on the drchrono web EHR in your Dashboard and navigation bar Schedule menu this Monday, February 6, 2017. Availability Search will be available to all drchrono plan types without restrictions.
